The Paddy Mirage has been running for three years now and a lot of people have been a part in making it happen. We just want to take some time out and thank those who have helped us realize a dream.
People have had many different roles in helping, some have helped financially, others have helped by getting involved in the build and there are those very special people that put up with our obsession every day. Thank you especially to them.
None of this would have started in the first place had it not been for Jessica Roth. Thanks for the idea, support and laughs all the way through.
Also to Adrian Brett and Denis O Kelly. Ye were missed in 07 but the Paddy Mirage would not be what it is today were it not for ye. For two years we all worked tirelessly to put this project on the map and it was a lot of fun doing it. Denis, thank you also for continually working on the web site. It is a credit to you.
To Danny, Alix, Oscar and Shea. It was amazing to have ye all in camp this year. Without your support every year the Paddy Mirage simply wouldn't happen. Thanks for everything ye have done for us, thanks for the places to stay, thanks for the help with the design (Oscar) and thanks for teaching us that not matter how hard we try you have to try a little bit harder (Shea)!
Anyone who knows the Paddy Mirage knows Benny. You are a legend on the playa (and off) and rightly so. When you came on board everything stepped up a lot. You dedicate so much to making it happen and ask for so little. We are all a little in awe of what you do. Go raibh mile maith agat a chara.
Another legend is our good friend Billy Vaughan. Every year he helps us out so much and generally before we even ask. From the start Billy has loaned us equipment, trucks, trailers and his time. Thank you Billy. It's been a trip...
Malcom and Smarkles. To have ye on the team was amazing. Ye worked so hard all week. The effort before the burn was non stop and well ye know without that then the Paddy Mirage would not have been what it was. A special mention to Smarkles who has taken it upon himself to represent the Paddy Mirage state side. We are now part of the San Francisco decompression and every event that Burning Man put on. We are to be their live music stage thanks in no small part to you.
To Maggie, David, Molly and Kelly Best, you opened up your door for us, made us feel welcome and helped us in every way possible. We only hope we made you feel every bit as welcome in the Paddy Mirage and can open up our homes to you someday. Your continued support is humbling.
You never know who will come to your aid on the playa but every year a few very special people do. To the two Noah's and Frequency, without your help late through the nights and early in the morning the Paddy Mirage would not have opened on Tuesday at 8. A special thanks to Noah for being there every day, especially when there was no work and only fun!
To the Irish Burners (Senan, Ian etc). Thanks for all your help leading up to the event. It's great to have such a good community here in Ireland and we are looking to building it even further and getting involved with some cool events with ye.
To Sheilagh and Ivan Staunton for your support in the early days. It's still our mission to get you to join us.
To the rest of those mentioned, Thank You for all your help. It would not have been near as much fun without ye. We hope you had fun on this one too and always know that the door is open to each and every one of ye at the Paddy Mirage.
